Interested in becoming a Referee for GHSC?

GHSC is always on the lookout for new referees! This is a paid position and a great way for teens (you must be 13 years old) and adults to earn money. For more information, please contact Aaron Ducore at assignor82@gmail.com or 916-806-4991.

All referees are required to attend a Referee Certification Clinic. A Referee Certification Clinic is a course for entry level referees; we offer the Grass Roots Entry Level course which allows you to referee both recreational and competitive matches.

Step 1: Register to become a referee – HERE

Step 2: Register for the Greenhaven Soccer Club Referee Class – HERE

All course work is on-line and you can complete it at your own pace, as long as you are done by the date of the field session. The date of the field session is the date listed by the course. Greenhaven’s first field session for the 2024 season is July 27 from 9:00-12:00 at Garcia Bend Field 3 (the small field closest to the levee).

Note: You do not have take the Greenhaven Course in order to referee for Greenhaven. You can take any course, as long as you can attend the course’s field session. You can find other courses – Here

Step 3: Notify Aaron Ducore at assignor82@gmail.com or 916-806-4991, stating you would like to referee for GHSC

Step 4: Attend a second field session hosted by Aaron Ducore – GHSC Referee Assignor, dates TBD

Thank you for deciding to be a referee! GHSC will do everything it can to support you and help you succeed. Experienced mentors attend specific games, and GHSC strictly enforces the coach/parent/player code of conduct.

BONUS #1: New Referees who work 15 GHSC games have their uniform kit cost reimbursed

BONUS #2: Referees who refer a friend who passes the course AND referees 10 GHSC games, receive a $100 bonus

NOTE – If you are a teen referee, you are eligible to referee two age groups lower than the age group that you play in or would play in. For example, if you play in U14, or are the age that would play U14, you are eligible to referee U10 games, but NOT U12.
